Thought I lost my key, didn’t lose my key. So many panicked calls and emails. Hannah was amazing and made sure that I’d be able to get into my apartment even though I was coming from two states away! Truly amazing in a very stressful situation
A family business that’s been in the Mankato housing business since 1934, Atwood’s well represented by those who work closest with tenants. Matthew and Michael Atwood are the fourth generation of Atwoods to head the family business that’s dedicated to responsiveness and keeping students comfortable. Reviewers frequently call out Kayla and Kristi for their dedicated service.
Our favorite review:
Every company has its ups and downs yet the only one who has helped us throughout this process has been Kristi from Atwood. She has consistently always responded to our text messages in regards to our townhome anytime during the day and has always ensured that our move to Mankato was free of complications and frustration. If someone truly deserves recognition for customer service it is Kristi.
Highland Hills Apartments states on their website that they are “the first City of Mankato apartment complex to have completed the new Crime Free Multi-Housing Landlord Training Program.” Highland features on-site security and is looking to provide residents with total peace of mind regarding the safety of the property.
On top of the commitment to safety, they feature an outdoor swimming pool, sand volleyball court, tennis courts, and outdoor barbecue grills so you can maximize your enjoyment when that harsh Minnesota weather is cooperative.

It’s a perfect situation for a college student new to off-campus life and interested in a healthy social scene.
Our favorite review:
It was our favorite place to live in Mankato, and we moved around 4 or 5 times…and as a student it was hella convenient to get to class! Seriously you couldn’t get closer if you wanted to live in an apt “off-campus”… and plus it’s above tons of restaurant options, seriously the convenience is so worth it…
Security is taken seriously at The Summit & Jacob Heights. In addition to having a 24-hour on call staff, they have courtesy patrol officers and card-controlled access to the buildings. On top of that, they offer individual leases, so you don’t have to stress out too hard if your roommate ends up being a flake.
Our favorite review:
I currently live in Jacob Heights. I love that they have garages where I can park and protect my new car. I also love that Jacob Heights is pet friendly. I’m from out of state so it is super nice to be able have my cat here to keep me company. The townhomes are two stories which is nice and makes it feel a little more homey.
A significant benefit to living at College Station is its place on the City of Mankato’s bus route. Not only are College Station apartments near campus, but the bus access gives you easy transportation throughout Mankato. College Station apartments were recently renovated, and they have floorplans from1 through 5 bedroom apartments.
Amenities on amenities on amenities. Live Active has something to appeal to you, whether you’re a pet owner, in need of a tanning bed or looking to down some espresso before class gets started.
Resident care is a top priority for Warren Street Townhomes. They work within their community to build relationships with neighbors who, in turn, help take care of the students that rent in the area. It’s not uncommon for a resident at Warren Street Townhomes to have a friendly neighbor stop by and help out with repairs or even cook them the occasional meal.
With an active social media presence, Connect finds a way to stay in touch with residents outside of the traditional methods. They recently shared a tip on their Facebook page about how to keep locks from freezing in the winter – definitely advice worth heeding in Mankato.
